Movie
review: Shakira’s songs in “Love in the Time of Cholera” adds nice
touch
(AP): Much of the great joy of reading a
Colombian author like Gabriel García Marquez is the fact that
you’re reading him—that you’re allowing yourself to become engrossed
in his
florid phrasing and
vivid descriptions, that he’s taking you to a fully realized place,
and that you're succumbing, gladly.

review: Despite Seinfeld’s absurd comic flare, ‘Bee Movie’ has
too-familiar buzz
By CHRISTY LEMIRE, AP Movie
Critic
(AP): Following ``Antz,''
``A Bug’s Life,'' ``Flushed Away'' and this summer's
``Ratatouille,'' ``Bee Movie'' is yet another animated flick with
a starry cast in which a creature that ordinarily would seem pesky
is rendered as not just harmless but even lovable and
idiosyncratically human. |

John Ortiz hace papel “extremo” en “American Gangster”

Movie review: ‘American Gangster’

NEW YORK
(AP): So perhaps “American Gangster,” Ridley Scott’s
much-anticipated mobster epic, doesn’t have a single original idea
in its head, with its unshakable shades of “Scarface” and “Serpico”
and “Superfly.” And maybe it’s a half-hour too long—this time of
year, what film with awards ambitions isn’t? |
