Owens Community College
welcomes Soul Street Dance
Company, Jan. 8
Area residents are invited to enjoy an evening high energy
movement and music that is part entertainment and art as
Owens Community College’s Center for Fine and Performing
Arts hosts the Soul Street Dance Company to the
Northwest Ohio region on Friday,
Jan. 8, 2010, at 8 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre. |

Founded in 1996, Soul Street Dance Company is comprised of five
professional performers who have mastered the art of dance
ranging from Brazil’s capoeira to
New York City’s break dance.
Musical selections accompanying each
Soul Session Dance Concert include
Michael Jackson,
James Brown,
Leonard Bernstein, Nat “King”
Cole and Earth, Wind & Fire, to name a few.
Based in Houston, the group features a variety of dance styles
and selections, including a mix of hip-hop, classical and new
dance styles with urban-fashioned costumes and comic delivery.
Soul Street Dance Company has entertained audiences worldwide
and has made appearances at venues such as the
Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts
in New York City and The John F.
Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington,
D.C.
Tickets for Soul Street Dance Company’s Soul Sessions Dance
Concert are $20 for floor level seating and $16 for raised level
