PHCA hosts the 2nd
Feed NW Ohio
Perrysburg Heights Community Association (PHCA) is sponsoring the 2nd
annual Feed NW Ohio Event; the focus is to host the largest Food
Drive. A dinner/theatre event is scheduled, which will cost its
guests $6.00 for a generous Taco Dinner (sponsored by Señor
Toro’s, Toledo).
Donations for admission to
PHCA include $2.00 per person and a bag of non-perishable food,
which will include entertainment by Ballet Folklorico
Imagenes Mexicanas, singers from South of the Border
Latino Idol, and other local musical entertainers.
PHCA is collaborating with
Lorain County Community College’s Los Unidos Organization
in bringing all the way from Puerto Rico – Chef Kako Viste, a
wonderful entertaining Musical Comedian – Josue Torres.
Last year’s event brought
in over 6,000 meals for local food pantries which we hope to
increase this year.
Event is: Saturday,
November 19, 2011
Doors for dinner open at: 5:30pm – 7:00pm (with entertainment)
Show by Chef Kako/Josue Torres: 7:00pm – 8:00 pm (filled with a
cooking theme to the rhythms of Reggaeton music and a great
message for the whole family. His presentation is in Spanish,
with some translation).
Dance featuring Grupo Fuego: 8:00 pm – 12:00 am.
Proceeds benefit PHCA and
food drive benefits the Perrysburg Township Operation
Breadbasket and the Northwest Ohio Toledo Food Bank.
