El East Toledo Family Center, que celebró su 110 aniversario en
el año 2011, continúa ofreciendo una variada cantidad de
servicios a la comunidad.
Actualmente están desarrollando los programas de verano, donde
los niños del área comparten actividades diarias incluyendo
enriquecimiento académico.
A principios de agosto comenzarán las inscripciones para la liga
de soccer de otoño. Iniciando los partidos en septiembre.
También ofrecerán prácticas de basketball, comenzando las
inscripciones en noviembre y los partidos en enero.
Durante la época escolar brindan servicios de cuidados para
niños antes y después de la escuela. Incluyendo los días en que
las escuelas públicas de Toledo están cerradas por actividades
de las maestras.
En coordinación con Head Start brindan clases de preescolar a
niños de 3, 4 y 5 años que estén entrenados para ir al baño en
forma independiente. Las sesiones son ofrecidas por la mañana o
por la tarde.

Center Summer Event, July 28

On July 28, 2012, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the East
Toledo Family Center will celebrate the Summer Event.
There will be games, rides, arts, and fun. All activities are
free. During this event, the “East Side Idol” contest will take
place. All winning singers divided by age group will be awarded
a prize. The East Toledo Family Center, that celebrated its 110
years anniversary in 2011, continues offering a variety of
services to the community.
Right now, they are offering summer programs for children in the
area. The young participants share daily fun activities that
also include academic enrichment.
At the beginning of August, the registration for fall soccer
will began, starting the games in September. They also offer
basketball, with registrations starting in November and the
games in January.
During the school year they offer before and after school
programs. Including the days that Toledo Public Schools are
closed for teacher in-service.
In collaboration with Head Start, a preschool program is offered
to children 3, 4 and 5 years old who are toileted trained. The
sessions are offered in the morning or in the afternoon.
