The Cleveland Metropolitan School District provides free
language assistance to parents and guardians who have Limited
English Proficiency (LEP) regarding school programs and
activities.
To be eligible for assistance, a parent or guardian does not
have to be of limited English proficiency in speaking, reading,
writing and comprehension. It is only necessary that a person be
limited in at least one of these areas to receive language
assistance.
The Cleveland Metropolitan Schools provides simultaneous
translation equipment at school events at no cost.
Parents who need assistance need only to ask for help to get
assistance. There is no corroborating evidence needed to get
the language help you need.
Parents are encouraged to visit our school district’s
Multicultural Welcome Center and learn about this free program
and others.
