Cleveland Public Library (CPL)
kicked off its new Writers and Readers series with a
discussion by two dynamic and compelling authors, S.E. Cupp
and Jodi Kantor, on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 2:00
p.m. in the Louis Stokes Wing Auditorium of CPL on East 6th
Street and Superior Avenue.
“CPL is thrilled to launch our latest Writers & Readers series
with two accomplished writers, S.E. Cupp and Jodi Kantor, who
truly showcase what makes this series so unique,” says Felton
Thomas, Executive Director of CPL. “Featuring two writers with
different perspectives gives our patrons the opportunity to not
only hear from their favorite authors, but interact with them in
a way that can only happen in the library setting.”
S. E. Cupp is a freelance political columnist, conservative
culture critic, author of Losing Our Religion: The Liberal
Media’s Attack on Christianity, and coauthor of Why
You’re Wrong About the Right, Behind the Myths: The Surprising
Truth About Conservatives.
Jodi Kantor is the New York Times Washington
correspondent and author of The Obamas: a Behind the Scenes
Look at the White House (2012.) Ms. Kantor began writing
about the Obamas in 2007, penning some of the earliest articles
about Michelle Obama, the role of the Obama daughter’s in their
father’s life and career, and Barack Obama’s time as a
constitutional law professor at the University of Chicago.
Moderated by WKYC’s Tom Beres, Ms. Cupp and Ms. Kantor will
engage in a lively discussion of the issues surrounding the 2012
presidential election, as well as their own accomplishments and
experiences as writers and authors.
The Cleveland Public Library’s Writers & Readers author series
showcases the Library’s role in promoting books and reading to
the Greater Cleveland Community. All Writers & Readers events
are free and open to the public. Seating is on a first-come,
