Latina Empowerment Conference is a partnership between
Oakland University and Ask The Latina, an online
portal that provides Latinas with resources and tools to
empower them throughout the journey of their lives.
According to organizers, the Latina Empowerment Conference
inspires Latinas with programs to prepare them for their life
journey. This is the only conference that brings Latina leaders
from the community to share their experience and give valuable
advice to students preparing for college.
Workshop presenters include:
Latinas and trailblazers from Ford, Dominos, Merrill Lynch, Dow
Chemical and Comerica Bank.
Event Sponsors include: Comerica
Bank and DTE Energy: The conference will include a
continental breakfast, lunch with exhibitors and bilingual
(Spanish/English) workshops in the areas of Finance, Legal,
Education, Health, and Business.

Ask The Latina was founded by Terry Beltrán of Beltrán
Media in 2012. A free membership online portal for
Latinas to access life decision tools on education,
health, legal, finance and business. The content is bilingual,
Spanish and English and categories by the age stages of a
